The above photograph is a screen shot of PAM Studio’s home page for their website. It is visually appealing and is very easy to use. This page is designed to entice future clients to produce a body of work that is suitable for them. As you scroll down the homepage the main text ‘PAM’ goes down in opacity to a very translucent ‘PAM’ but you can still make it out. As shown bellow.
To use this website is fairly simple, the menu is right in the top-middle of the page and stays there even when you scroll down. It is a red font in front of a white background so of course it stands out. When you put your mouse over the front picture page of the tree leaves it distorts back and forth if you scroll over it.
This website is perfect for potential clients what a fresh, original, and minimal website who aren’t afraid of a pop of colour here and there. PAM STUDIO has created this website to display their unique creative designs. It is designed to entice future clients to be excited to create something different to your usual average website. It doesn’t have to be boring to be successful.
Important information is separated into the categories that they’re needed. Contact information is located in the drop down menu and when you click on your desired form of contact in automatically copies it to be put in your emails or whatever. Information about their projects are clearly stated at the top of the page.
The type is bold because of the choice in colour. It is a slim elegant look. But the other type is quite small compared to the heading, like very small it is out of proportion. I like how the text disappears when other information pops up, to give that more of the focal point than the big PAM.
For my own website I plan to have a good hierarchy of text and a clear menu just like PAM Studios. I do like the colour pallet and the minimalistic vibe. The function of this home page is really good and clear, I do want to add some graphics to my page if I can.
