Purpose

Ever since I was young I’ve always wanted to be a designer and a website of my own brings me closer to that. I wanted to create a portfolio on my website to display my work I have created through my time at Toi Ohomai. Showcasing my design helps me in the future to gain possible clients and inspire others. Therefore, my audience would be potential clients and design agencies wanting to work with me to create publications, branding & content creation, photography, and website designs. I want my website to be a digital version of me, to display who I am as a designer and person. My tone of voice will be as if I am talking to a friend, there will be slurs but no swearing, even if I do have a mouth of a sailor. Calm, yet witty. My goal is to carry on this website after I am finished with study to promote my work. To recommend to potential clients and employers wanting to see a portfolio of my work. For this to work and be successful I will make my website functional and easy to use, yet creative and have an original aesthetic. My portfolio page will be complex and simple. The thumbnails will be the main focal point on the page, showing clients what they’re in for. I really liked my websites I researched for this project especially the blogs, they reflected the type of structure I wanted for my own. Having a Pinterest I researched a little more, and found some more creative portfolios/blogs.

Most of these templates display a minimalistic approach to a portfolio. They’re elegant and have a solid colour pallet. I found a lot of inspiration through this platform. Trial and error is the way I will go about this. Try try try again.
